The "animal that hides in your heart"The Chinese lunar calendar dates back to 2637 B.C. Twelve animals - ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, pig, rat- are each assigned a consecutive year.
According to legend, the animals included on the Chinese horoscope received the years as a reward from the Lord Buddha. He had asked all animals to visit with him before he departed the Earth. Only 12 animals came … each was rewarded with a year, given in the order they arrived.
